October 1st is almost here
The next three months are for chasing deer
You’re in the tree before sun rise
Peering thru the brush, straining your eye
You check the wind, your setup is great
You settle in the stand to sit and wait
The sun is up and the woods come to life
Squirrels start to stir and birds take flight
From behind you hear a twig break
Your adrenaline flows and your heart starts to race
You calm your nerves as a doe walks by
Then you see antlers out the corner of your eye
You pick up your bow and slowly you rise
He is twenty yards now and turns broad side
You draw back, take aim and let the arrow go
The buck bolts off behind the doe
Your legs start shaking, it was a real good hit
You settle down and for an hour you sit
You’ve waited long enough and climb from your stand
Now you’re holding a bloody arrow in your hand
You follow the trail, up over the hill
You’re eager to find your next bow kill
The blood trail is thick, he must be near
Then theirs a ringing in your ear
It’s the alarm clock, as real as it seemed
Now you’re up early to go live your dream

Well the kids wanted to play some Wii tonight. Pressed the power button with no response from the system. Dead Wii flashed through my head. The kids would have to suffer playing some PS3 for the time being..lol. A quick test of the power supply with the multimeter showed zero volts. Quick search on the google machine brought me some results quickly. Apparently those fellers who designed the PS added a built in surge protection. We did have a power outage last weekend according to the microwave and alarm clocks when I got home on Sunday. Funny thing is that the Wii ps was plugged in to a surge protector behind my entertainment center and it wasn’t tripped. Strange..I know. Well the fix was to simply unplug the wii ps from the AC outlet for a few minutes and this allows it to reset itself. Now the kiddos are enjoying some Wii Sports games. I thought I would share for those fellow Wiificianados.
